The November election will see all eight Minnesota congressional seats up for grabs. Two of the eight Minnesota congressional seats are currently in high demand: The 2nd District, a rematch of Democratic Rep. Angie Craig with GOP contender Tyler Kistner. This race is expected to be the most expensive in the nation; and the 1st District where GOP Rep. Brad Finstad faces Democrat Jeff Ettinger.

Legislative 2022

All 201 seats in Minnesota’s Legislature will be up for reelection after redistricting. The DFL holds the Minnesota House, while Republicans hold the Senate. Each party will fight for control of the existing body and hopes to win control of another.

At all levels of government, from local races to the state and Congressional, public safety is a key issue. This issue has been a central focus of GOP campaigns due to rising crime rates and stories about seemingly violent acts.

Roe rewritten and abortion

After Roe was overturned by the Supreme Court in June, abortion became a key election issue. DFLers have made it a central part of their campaigns, particularly in key suburban areas. Republicans believe that public safety and inflation are more important to voters.
