Steve Karnowski, Associated Press, reports: Police released body camera video Wednesday of a six-hour standoff in which officers shot a Black Minneapolis man. However, the footage did not show whether he had a gun or threatened officers. Authorities said that Andrew Tekle Sundberg (20 years old) was shot by two police officers early Thursday. … Amelia Huffman, interim Chief Police Officer, and Jacob Frey, the Mayor of New York declined to describe the footage taken by officers on the scene. This was based on an investigation by the State Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Howie Padilla, a police spokesperson, stated that the city has not yet identified video “that clearly shows what happened” and encouraged anyone with other videos to contact him.
