FOX 9 reports Eden Prairie Police stated that a preliminary investigation indicated that a 19 year-old man approached a Scheels employee to view a semi-automatic pistol in their gun department. The employee gave the weapon, but he ran across the store towards the archery area. He loaded the handgun then fired one shot . According to police, the man may have brought his own ammunition into this store. Scheels at Eden Prairie Center were expected to reopen on Tuesday at noon.

Dan Kraker of MPR News has the story Em Loerzel . Em Loerzel grew up hearing stories about the Ojibwe horse her uncle told. These ponies would run free in the area near Ojibwe communities, tucked away among the lakes and forests along the Minnesota-Canada border and assist with tasks like hauling wood and setting trap lines.
